I will admit that I was concern the media would ignore my arrest on the streets in Fredericton. < Especially since it happened 1 week ago >
I approached who has opinions and asked - Be honest with me!! You saw the video of my arrest at the New Brunswick Legislature.
Is it me who has an ego or if there a story here???
The guy answered - To have two strangers grabbing a citizen from the streets against their will is News!!!
The Fredericton Police are coming after me AGAIN on issues that happened 4 years ago!!!
They want me in Jail for 5 years.
I said it before and I will say it again!!!
Police or City Officials could sit down with me and we could settle this in hours but they refuse.
I hope the media asked the City of Fredericton of how much this is costing the Taxpayers????
The two Cops from Edmundston told me they have work on this case for 18 months!!!! Lots of money eh????

ReplyDeleteOut of town police forces do not have any jurisdiction in the city of Fredericton. Therefore, that should not of happened. Furthermore, while there are a lot of good sincere, and decent police officers on the Fredericton police force, I personally believe that there are those who are making up the law as they go along just to suit themselves. Charles has had many concerns that he's tried to address over the years, and nobody pays any attention to his concerns, so that is why I personally believe that he has been so critical in the last while toward those in authority that he perceives are not doing the job the way the law specifically states so they end up harassing him or others who try to question The validity of what they are doing.
ReplyDeleteAs a citizen he being Charles Leblanc, and others in New Brunswick, and in Fredericton the capital city of New Brunswick, have the right, and the duty to speak up when things are not going the way they are supposed to. It does not matter if the city police, or the courts,or anyone else likes it, or does not like it. They are in the public guy, and therefore, our two face scrutiny when things are perceived to not be going according to the law. I personally, And sincerely hope that all this stuff concerning Charles is resolved in a decent and just manner and that the powers that be will stop making up bogus charges to cause trouble for him. At the same time I would ask Charles to be a little more tactful, And to use sound judgement, and wisdom when he seeks to find information on the different issues of the day.
I would just like to correct you for your information that City police forces are provincialy sworn and therefore have jurisdiction (police powers) in the whole province they work in . This means they can arrest anywhere in NB .

ReplyDelete00:15 seems odd that local police officers hired by a City would go to another City for any reason except for exception. Maybe I remember too much but years ago a hit man (movie) to get out after taking care of business changed clothes and posed as a police man to exit.
Edmundston Police are in a CUPE union local whereas Fredericton Police are associated with the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America. Is there a union conflict to be operating in Fredericton? And whereas CUPE is committed to social justice, did the Edmundston arresting officers break obligations to their union by not being informed enough about the nature of your case? Is this why they sent an administrative deputy chief?

But as we all know, by today's standards, we must adhere to the gastopoic whims of self-important lawyers and politicians. Comforting, isn't it???
