You're a journalist whether or not they like it, all the years of videos and blog posts, interviews with government officials are proof.
I would argue that denying you access, or any other Canadian from a press conference, is a violation of their Charter Rights.
The Press isn't just companies, and it isn't only those that the government considers worthy to exercise their rights; to independently ask questions of our government and publish for all to see.
