Because of Mayor Brad Woodside and City Council supporting an agenda against its citizens? You will not see good blogs about Fredericton!!!

I was asked last night to do a blog about a certain issue and I denied. I will say more after the Election. If the Cops cried because of my old Blog? Wait till they see the Blog coming up!!!
We must eliminate this so-called Police Force and replace them with the R.C.M.P.!!!!
Going to my internet provider and telling them I was into child porn and I was exploiting children is unacceptable!!!!
The Mayor agrees with this 100%!!!!! I wonder what's in his search engine???? Maybe I should make a complaint to the Cops????
MY GOD?? THE COPS TAZED A 16 YEAR OLD AUTISTIC KID????...NUTS!!!!
See how this is going out of hand???? Everything could be settle with a simple - We're sorry!!!!
Lets not forget there's going to be a new Government and this issue will be talked about for months and years until something is done!!!
Woodside never been a fan of the less fortunate anyway!!
Listen to his arrogance in this video...especially when he mentions the Harvest% Jazz??? Media? Really? Covering Free events?? Wow!!!!

ReplyDeleteFirst, nothing wrong with criticizing the city or the cops. You know darn well what you did was wrong, you weren't just criticizing them, you were making pretty bad unfounded allegations. So far you haven't repeated them in this blog, and good for you. If you start again, like I said before, you will probably want to put up a banner telling people where your NEXT blog is going to be. You'll notice that so far your blog hasn't been shut down, because there is NOTHING in it that justifies shutting it down. And frankly, on a bad night I might have made the same complaint if I thought that it would actually work. Its true that the city has been negligent in dealing with the policing issue, but two wrongs don't make a right.
ReplyDeleteBut I have no problems with you now expanding to the city-heck, I told you YEARS ago that police don't make legislation, the city and the province and the feds do. Woodside of course will be your biggest supporter when you are posting pictures and doing their tourism work for them, and of course will be your biggest detractor when you make the city look bad.....duh!
PS. the difference between terrorism and revolution is pretty clear, the two aren't even close. The arab spring saw the peaceful revolutionaries have violence inflicted AGAINST them. A revolution is simply a dramatic change in society, we had an environmental revolution that completely changed the way society looks at the environment (not everyone of course).
The same goes for censorship and tyranny. Censorship is a tool that SOME tyrants use. Just like tyranny is a tool that SOME revolutionaries use. But because some use them, doesn't mean they are the same, and terrorism and censorship are also used by governments to dissuade revolutions.
But of course Mike? You would be VERY happy if the Cops told your internet provider that you were into child porn or a pedophile right???

ReplyDeleteLike I said, two wrongs don't make a right. I think you know better than anybody else how I feel about what the cops did to you, in fact I"m pretty sure I pointed it out from Bernard Richard's before you did.
ReplyDeleteYou are right about the 'two faced' . If the councillors were in any way looking at the police then they'd have more legitimacy in complaining about your blog. Like I've said a thousand times, nobody in their right mind would believe what you were saying about them, and the fact that a city councillor would admit that he never even READ Bernard Richard's report says it all.
But again, that doesn't make what you were calling them right. With the way you are talking about them right now there is no reason to worry about being shut down, the internet is full of people complaining about their local politicians and police force. What you were calling them was way beyond that, and if you think that having your own website will let you go back to calling them that then you are kidding yourself. You may have your own website but you have to host it somewhere, and many internet providers are even more censorship friendly than Google.
And again, the main reason that I criticized you for what you were calling them is that it was hurting your credibility as much as theirs. Why they wouldn't just ignore you is beyond me, but there is no lack of stuff to criticize the police and politicians for without making stuff up.
So by all means get more critical, you were being WAY too nice to politicians, and its not just municipal politicians who are the problem. Those helmet laws were made by provincial politicians, they are just as culpable as local councillors, and many of the changes that the police force SAYS they want to implement need provincial legislation, and I haven't seen that coming any time soon.
Freedom of speech is an American concept. We have the the freedom of expression as part of our charter. Neither allow libel or slander without repercussion.
ReplyDeleteThese posts are diluting the issues. Charles has the right to express his beliefs and opinions; that is not libel or defamation if he believes what he is saying, which he does. You are misunderstanding the Charter right to hold and express your own beliefs - that is why the FP Farce came after Charles under an unconstitutional charge for defamatory libel - they knew that did not rely on Charles actually believing the comments he made, which is what made it unconstitutional. That is also why they have not come after Charles again in a civil proceeding, because Charles believes what he says and writes. None of you were with him the day he was kneed in the groin by L'Oiseau. None of you have gone through the indignities he suffered at the hands of police officers, who should have protected his rights and freedoms, instead of violating them. No, Charles does not write hate speech but he does express his own frustration at the indignities this police force has heaped on him.

Anonymous, at 21:40 and 15:40, you are entirely incorrect, The Charter right is the right to express your own beliefs and opinions and is nothing to do with criminal charges of slander and libel, which are publicly printing or stating what the perpetrator knows to be false and untrue.
You are all so forgiving that the police filed two separate, falsified and fraudulent applications, that were actual lies participated in by FPF officers Robb Costello, Ed Smith and Simmons Beauchamp but none of you cared that the police lied in writing and, since they did this more than once, it was clearly NOT a "bad cut and paste job" as the very expensive City report tried to make out. It was blatant fraud, conspiracy, corruption, bad faith, breach of trust and breach of public duty but all you idiots bang on about is what you think Charles did wrong. No wonder this province is so corrupt, no wonder our police are out of control - you people are endorsing their corruption.
Charles is not merely spouting a belief or an opinion. Even if he was, you still can't call someone a pedophile. Regardless, they were retaliatory posts written specifically as some misguided attempt at revenge for the police's seizure of his computer under the guise of suspected child porn. Two wrongs don't make a right. Charles should've filed a grievance instead of acting like a childish buffoon and wasting taxpayers money.

If I were on the City Council, I would be very afraid for my seat in the next election. I cannot believe that the citizens of Fredericton would support a Mayor and Council members who supported the FPF in illegal actions against Charles. Is there any truth in this Province?
