HOME CARES WORKERS NEEDS PROTECTION!!!!!
Dear Sisters and Brothers,
You are cordially invited to the press conference for the launch of “Who Cares?”, a CUPE campaign for Community Care Services (CCS).
What are Community Care Services? They are vital services that are not yet under any public administration such as home support, group homes, transition houses and special care homes. More than 10 000 individuals work in this sector, most of whom are women in precarious jobs.
The Who Cares? Campaign has three major goals:
1. Recognition of the value of these services; 2. Improve and standardize working conditions for workers in the sector; and 3. End the fragmentation of services and administration by bringing CCS under public administration.
The campaign launch will be presented by the current campaign spokesperson, Julie Doucet, a member of CUPE Local 3179. At the conference, Sister Doucet will be flanked by the campaign steering committee composed of Thérèse Duguay (Local 4598), Romana Sehic (Local 3884), Josée Mallais (Local 4598) and Betty Jo Hunter (Local 3210).

Should Doctors ride with Ambulance New Brunswick crew to save money????
I heard someone talking to another yesterday and said - I'm not wasting 7 bucks to go to the Hospital. I'm going to call an Ambulance!!!!
I always shake my head in disbelief when he does that....he's on welfare but he can afford to smoke....but anyway...maybe it's time for a Doctor to make house calls and save LOTS OF MONEY???
But then again the Doctor will have to be Bilingual!!!!

9-11 happened 15 years ago this morning...Where where you that morning???
I was living in East Saint John. I woke up and saw the twin towers on fire.
At first, I believe it was an accident such as when a plane hit the Empire State Building years ago.
To this day many believe it the Americans themselves who were behind this attack!!!
I don’t think so but what the hell do I know?
I remember attending a few Church services after the attack.
Where were you on September 11th, 2001?
Very sad day to reflect…
