Does anyone willing to help Stephen Burtt's Family???

By now you have all heard the sad news of our sweet commissionaire Steve Burtt’s passing Monday night while at work.

Steve was known by everyone for being a positive, friendly, caring, compassionate, kind natured man that was loved by all.

He has been part of our family since 2009 and will be dearly missed by his many adopted work son’s, daughter’s and friends.

We can only imagine the level of grief that his widow Debra and son Josh are going through and his work family would like to try and ease the financial burden by starting a collection to put in a card that can be found in the back office of the Service Center to be signed.

Any amount would be appreciated.

If you prefer you can e transfer the donation to carole.currie@hotmail.com.

Thank you all in advance.

News Release Finance and Treasury Board Tentative agreements reached with CUPE 13 November 2021

FREDERICTON (GNB) – The provincial government has reached tentative collective agreements with the seven local bargaining units represented by the Canadian Union of Public Employees (CUPE) in Parts I, II and III of the public service.

These seven bargaining units include approximately 20,000 workers in the education, health and public service sectors, including road maintenance and parks workers, correctional officers, social workers, court stenographers, laundry workers, school custodians and bus drivers, education assistants, patient care attendants and food and environmental service workers in hospitals, to name a few.

All strikes and lockouts end immediately. Employees will return to work as soon as operationally feasible.

Details about the reopening of schools are being finalized and will be announced Sunday.

The parties have agreed not to share details of the agreements publicly pending ratification.
