So here's the scoop, Brad old buddy. Charlie wanders the downtown all day long bemoaning the fact that you are no longer our beloved mayor. I always told him to be careful what he wished for, but would he listen??? NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I said to him "you made your own bed, ya big dope, now sleep in it". No longer, Brad, does he have the opportunity to "MAKE YOUR DAY". He loved being a pain in the butt at the ribbon cutting ceremony of the convention center. Cornering you after every counsel meeting was one of his favorite passtimes. His annual audience with you for his year-end reviews I'm sure were very, very special to you. Oh, and we must'nt forget his efforts in lending you assistance in locating your vehicle in the parking garage. Now, of all of the distinguished citizens this city has to offer, how could you have struck it so lucky as to have Charlie LeBlanc to lead you out of the fog??? God was watching out for you that day, my friend. And that one certainly has to rate at or near the top of your great list of hi-lites and memories of your long and distinguished years as our mayor. So it only stands to reason, Your Worship, as a result of all this, that HE should be kissing YOUR ass. God Bless, Brad. Do hope that retirement is going well for you.
