Maybe before you run your curmudgeonly mouth you should do a little more research. The promoters paid to fly me, house me, and transport me back and forth from Atlanta GA. They also paid me a fee for my time. Why they did this is their business. Maybe you speak with them. This was their choice. The price for photos and autographs were also their choice. All the funds go to the promoter.
I would have been more than happy to chat with you for as long as you would've liked for free. As I remember, you came up earlier in the day, asked for a selfie and when informed of the fee, mumbled something and wandered off. You didn't even attempt a conversation or even wish me a good afternoon.
I left the table at 8:15pm last night after being there since noon (excluding bathroom and supper breaks) I chose to get some rest. I apologize that I wasn't there to entertain you at whatever time you happened to drop back by. You see, like Joe Montana, I am an entertainer. That's what we do. We entertain folks and like other enterprises we get paid to entertain. When I perform a play I entertain 100 or so folks at a time. When I perform in film or TV it is many more at a time. When I make personal appearances, I entertain one or two folks at a time. Why shouldn't I also be paid for that? The promoter has paid me to entertain his audience. By rough estimation, I entertained about 30 folks who also chose to purchase a photo and/or a selfie yesterday. I also entertained I would guess at least that many more who just stood there and chatted with me. Free. Which you also could've done as part of your ticket price to enter the Tattoo Expo.
If I happened to run into you outside of the convention and you wanted a selfie, I would most likely oblige. I realize that would never happen as you wouldn't have any reason to want a photo with me anymore than you would any other stranger you met on the street. It was only the fact that there was a billboard over my head at my table advertising that I am an actor from a TV show that piqued your interest in me. Do you honestly think I flew from Atlanta, GA USA, rented a hotel room and rented a space at a convention in Fredericton, NB at a tattoo convention in order to try and fleece its attendees?
Why would you want a picture with me? Someone you've never heard of who's small claim to fame is a TV show you claim to have never watched. What would you have done with this photo? Maybe publish it on your obscure blog in the hopes that one of your dozen or so "fans" would be jealous that for a minute you stood next to me? Based on your earlier entries and following, I doubt anyone who follows you would care. They might feel a little sorry for you. If that's possible.
I'll be there again today from 11-4 (excluding bathroom breaks). Please come by and ask me some questions or just engage in a conversation. If you want a selfie it's $15.
Just noticed this comment.....I was there but never bothered...sorry about that....nothing personal...the vendor next to you told me you were a VERY nice guy....:)
I just wanted a selfie to see if anyone would recognize you...just notice the 15 bucks fee when I was doing the video...
Two walking dead person side by side....
No offense....I didn't know about the fee...hope you enjoyed yourself...:)
