  1. Something is not correct hear, It may be a case of discrimination, This is the first time that I have heard someone not being allowed to attend will incarcerated. Normally, when permission is granted, a sheriff will usually accompany the person, and depending on the security risk, the inmate may be handcuffed to the sheriff.

Unfortunatly for confidentiality, I personally knew a repeat offender who was permitted to attend a funeral, while in Federal custody he was permitted to attended, this person had a was know to be an excap artist. Yet they allow him to attend. The second instance was when the mother passed a way there he was in the provincial system, his charge to for the incarceration was unlawfully at large. He was accompained by a jailer, in this case the jailer did not have him shackle to himself.

So this is very interesting, of course the inmate that I am referring to had blond hair blue eyes, his criminal profession was con (Confidence Man). While not formally educated, he did his home work to pull of some of his cons.

From past discussions you know my feeling about the provincial jail system, outside of cosmetics the provincial jail has not changed since the feudal days.

So giving this particular case in comparison to the case you describe the likely hood of racism is highly probable.
