New Leader of the New Brunswick P.C. Party Blaine Higgs asked about when he ran for the C.O.R. Party years ago!!!
This little interview was done last spring when he announce he ran running for the Leadership. Personally, I don't see the Acadians rights in Jeopardy. He will surround himself with Acadians < such as Hatfield did > but I believe he would get rid the Language Commissioner.
I actually like him more I hear from him, although I see no evidence of doing politics differently. Hopefully we'll see some examples of that before the election and it won't be like some of his colleagues who ran who claimed to have great ideas but wouldn't talk about any of them! The COR party was very much like the PANB is now. It started with all kinds of policies, but then it starts talking about language, and then thats all they talk about. I was going to join their facebook group, but noticed people there were actually saying they didn't want any more joiners who may start talking about other issues! The PANB has some fantastic policies, but all they talk about is language, which gives the impression that all the other policies are just window dressing to get you in the door. And that was the same with COR.
You'll have to start getting more interviews with him, and we'll see if he deigns to show up at CBC's panel show. It would be interesting to get him to publicly state that they will get rid of the moratorium on fracking, and it will be interesting to hear his views about the booze case and any changes at NB Liquor.
