Fredericton MP Matt DeCourcey confronted about Electoral Reform!!!

  1. A good question Charles and he should have simply said he didn't know rather than talk about how hypothetical it was. If the liberals are going to switch voting systems, and do it without a referendum, then they better start talking about the 'hypotheticals', and do it pretty soon.

In New Brunswick the breakdown is this, from 442509 votes cast:

    Liberals 52%
    Conservatives: 25%
    NDP: 17%
    Other: 6%

That would give the liberals 5 seats, the conservatives 3, the NDP 2, and 1 to 'other'.

But a depending on the voting system it may not break down to 10 ridings for New Brunswick, because nationally, the liberals only got 40% of the popular vote, and the conservatives 31%, so like every election since 1986, we should have a minority government.
