  1. I watched some of this and didn't see anyone running to put the fire out. Hate to say it - insurance claim jumps to mind. Maybe Woodside gets a brown envelope for slow responses.

  2. I saw the scene as well and agree there didn't seem to be people rushing around. Having said that, given the nature of the flooring business, there were chemicals on the premises, so the firemen had to be cautious. Since I live across the road from this block I would like to know why City planning allows a business with flammable products to be in our highly populated downtown area. The smoke was choking. I agree with the possibility of arson for insurance claims too. The biggest business fires in the last few years were all seriously underway just a few hours after the businesses closed. It would not be surprising, given this province not attracting investment and new enterprise. Most people don't have disposable income to support these businesses long term.
