Too bad...the cops are forcing kids to ride on the road and I might add they never educate the kids to wear a helmet. They always go after certain people who dare to exercise. Yes ..I blame the cops for the death of the young boy. Time for the people to ask the City for Bike Lanes. But unfortunately the Cops enjoy using the bike issue to go after certain people. Sad....
When I first heard this I thought it was a drunken or stoned officer who hit him
ReplyDeleteAnd here I was naive that Charles could sink any lower than he already is
ReplyDeleteStop politicizing this young man's death to further your own selfish needs Charles.
Now isn't the time to be blaming anyone show a little compassion and Sympathy for the young boys family. ..... JAG
ReplyDeleteSorry but facts are facts.....the cops are ordering kids or adults to ride in the traffic.....those are facts Jack!!!!...Sorry for the tragedy but this is the reason many will die in the future....it's the Fredericton Police Fault.....:(
ReplyDeleteJust like you isn't it Charles? Blame the cops for everything these days. I bet you blame them for that sneeze you had yesterday.
DeleteDo the people of Fredericton a huge favor and get lost. You have no respect, no compassion, no NOTHING. This is why you are a disgraceful human being
Charles is right. The City failed to deliver the promises it made. In 2007 its Trails/Bikeways Master Plan promised us:
ReplyDelete"This new trails/bikeways network will provide all residents a safer, healthier and more environmentally friendly alternative to driving for getting around the city."
Nothing has been done to protect the safety of cyclists - I agree the City must take some responsibility for the poor education of cyclists and drivers and failure to provide a useful network of cycle lanes.
