Lawyers are leeches who work for money, not for their clients or the interests of justice. No lawyer will take Charles on because the Law Society is doing what it's told - leading the lamb to slaughter. Before he stood up for himself I have no doubt he would have been granted a legal aid lawyer, to tell him to plead guilty or guide him to conviction. That is how our justice system works. Now that Charles understands this he will be denied representation, because he will either expose a corrupt lawyer, or the lawyer will do the right thing and never work again. 14:47 - you are a total arse.
There is no question that the Legal System in Fredericton is corrupt. Unfortunately, the Crowns tell the lawyers what to do and that is usually "tell your client to plead guilty". More poor, unfortunate people are being beaten up by some members of the Fredericton Police Farce and nothing is done. This is happening all over Canada. I sometimes wonder if Harper is the reason.
