Miramichi Police Officer Greg Scott lied under oath!!!!

gregscott
This was in the Miramichi Irving Paper a few days ago!!!

Didn't the Chief ever heard of not give comments while the case is in front of the Court!!!

Greg Scott lied in Court and we will recalled this guy back to the stand next Friday!!!

Sounds like a bad Cop...anyone had any dealing with this guy?????

Mr. Michaud,

On 7th September, 2015, an article was published, quoting Miramichi Chief of Police saying:

“As for expenses, Fiander said any expenses incurred through this investigation are covered by the requesting agency. So, for example, throughout the course of the investigation into the alleged LeBlanc matter, the City of Fredericton was on the hook for expenses such as hotel, mileage and meals throughout the investigation, and if a trial takes place. The investigating agency may also be billed for overtime and regular time depending on the complexity of the investigation.”

I request again that you disclose all expenses, showing Cst. Scott travelled to Fredericton on 2nd January, 2015, to swear the charge.

I also request that you disclose all Miramichi police costs and expenses related to this investigation and prosecution, that are being paid for by the people of Fredericton City. The costs are clearly not in proportion to the alleged offence and are not in the public interest.

Charles LeBlanc

  3. I was at the hearing when this dirty cop swore under oath he did not know if the FPFarce was paying for this fiasco. He swore he did not have to keep records of gas, mileage, meals, hours... oh Charles, this is going to be fun!

  4. what does this have to do with the assault trial ??? i think you need some law lessons and stop being the little looser anti-police you are ...maybe you are jealous he actually works for a living...get a life douche bag.

  5. 13:24 - I think you are the one who needs a lesson in the law. The man swore under oath he did not have to keep a record of his expenses and he did not know who was paying for the investigation and police time at hearings - that is perjury for a start. Since this charge is not in the public interest to prosecute the expense to tax payers is a very important issue. Why are residents and taxpayers in Fredericton paying for this persecution and nonsense? You are an idiot - or Cst. Scott. You spell like a cop.

  6. You figure with the huge salary they are paying him he could afford a decent pair of shoes and and something other than such a cheap suit.

  7. Well answer the question : What is this has to do with the assault charge ? This is irrelevant, the trial is about the assault charge and not who paies for his meal ???

You on a different planet or what 1551 ?

  8. Don't be too hard on them. Most of these boys and girls are barely out of high school before they get their weeks-long Atlantic Police Academy diploma from Holland College.

Making big dollar doesn't buy you fashion sense when you're still in that awkward American Eagle phase.

  9. 01:54 - I'm not sure, but I think this issue might be to do with how far the police are going, to prosecute something that should not even be before the courts. There is a rule called de minimis non curat lex - "the law does not care for small or trifling matters". The Supreme Court of Canada recognises this as a legitimate defense, and available to judges to use where they see fit. Also, prosecutors, police and judges have a duty to evaluate if a petty issue, like this one, is a waste of public money to investigate and prosecute. Charles clearly has a case, that public resources are being improperly used in this, which would support a de minimis defence. As a taxpayer I object very strongly to the abuse of public funds in this matter.

  10. 13:24/01:54 Municipalities and the Government of New Brunswick are spending our tax dollars on this. They have a duty to be fiscally responsible and not waste $$$ on petty issues and that means this is all about who pays for the meals, gas and work hours. Next week will be hearing number seven for the cops and 6 for Charles. The Miramichi is a 400 mile round trip and taxpayers have been paying two cops to travel that route from July 2014. We have also been paying a Crown prosecutor to travel from Edmondston - 340 mile round trip. The alleged offense is non existent and the police, courts, Crown prosecutors and governments are embarrassing themselves.

  11. Well 1301, it is not for you to say if the offence is existent or not...You are not a Judge. I will say it again, to bring up in court questions as to who paid for the miramichi cop's meal is IRRELEVANT during an ASSAULT TRIAL. It has nothing to do with the event in question (the assault itself that is alleged to have taken place at a specific time in Fredericton). If you want to enquire about who pays for the meal and gas you can ask , but there is another course of action for that, just not during a trial. These are basis rules of the law. You should may be enquire as to why Leblanc keeps postponing everything and playing little games to get other court appearances... And why our tax dollars are paying for that ...

  12. 14:27 - I am interested that you say "the assault itself that is alleged to have taken place at a specific time in Fredericton..." Charles is not allowed to share the disclosure so, if you know it was at a "specific time", I guess you are one of the dirty cops who is part of the harassment of Charles in this prosecution, who keep posting aggressive nonsense comments and wasting taxpayers money. I suspect you are on duty when you do it! I agree with the other comments - this investigation and prosecution is a huge and disgraceful waste of money and resources and I nobody needs to be a judge to know that. Andrew Spencer is a poor, unfortunate, alcoholic, abusive, addict-hobo who harasses people on the street. That's the best the Farce could come up with to nail Charles for something he did not do? I can't wait to see him on the witness stand. Will he be in a suit and tie or shredded army fatigues? Or will he be too drunk or high to show up?

  13. Hmm.... yes..."the assault itself that is alleged to have taken place at a specific time in Fredericton" does sound like pompous police language form someone who knows things.

  14. Wow it seems there are many insecure and paranoid people on here, thinking one who does not agree with comments are cops ? ...If you go to school a little bit and stop being the little anti-police that you miserable people are maybe you would understand that your comments above have nothing to do with the trial. Have you ever thought of being, anti-pedophile, anti-terrotists, anti-guys who break into your house ...Anti-Police ? Come on...lol...Get a life buddy !
