  1. Claude Sonier or as he was known...Sonier.
Charles, he was a jean jacket guy and loved the bottle. It was probably how he wanted it.

My first memory of Sonier was the first day of school at Abbey Landry.
Sonier (the vice principal) comes in waving a bar of soap lol
He began telling us that "here at Abbey Landry school" we don't like anyone that smells like sweat.
We will take them to the bathroom and wash them with hot water and soap if they don't want to wash at home.

Or the time he gave us sex education in grade nine.
That was freeking funny, he was drawing pictures on the blackboard and all and clearly had a few at the tavern at lunch time with Charles and that dose Camillien.

Sonier was one of a kind.
I bet he and Charles Belliveau are up there now drinking a few.

    That was old school!

  3. When they went for lunch together at the tavern mostly on fridays Sonier would come in the classroom with a red face....we all knew he had a few too many and we had a easy afternoon.
He would say: read a book and be quiet!
He would then go in his office and stay there all afternoon.

  5. Sonier was strong for a little guy.
He threw me over the desks once like I weighed 5 lb.
But he was a good guy.
