New Brunswick's chief electoral officer Mike Quinn is VERY ignorant and must Resign!!!

I saw him days before the election and decided not to use my camera. I asked him - Why the machines? Why not paper ballots? He told me that only the Government can change it!!!! Now he rudely tells the public - We don't care!!! < Matter of speaking > Bring the issue to the Courts!!!! The Courts are corrupted so this is the wrong place to go for Democracy!!!

  1. No he does not need to resign - the PC's are just cry babies and need to blame their loss on someone. The paper ballot thing is so old school. Here is how voting should work. An individual entity that runs elections federal, provincial and municipal funded by a separate tax payer fund - no government involvement at all. Go to your polling station, get identified, pick a random token, take token to computer/tablet whatever and enter token and your vote choice then leave with the token to destroy on your own.

  2. I don't see how 09:01's idea works if there is a problem. If there is a glitch, and the public has destroyed its own tokens, there has to be an entire re-vote if there is a technical problem. As for Quinn, what a complete arse - and a rude one at that. Yes, he should resign: he screwed it up.

  3. 9:01 is a complete idiot. No government involvement? These goons are funded and hired by the government and they are clearly not independent. I notice the chips went missing, results stopped coming in only once the Tories were losing. This, along with the Tory candidates being instructed not to concede under any circumstances, indicates the lost chips and votes was very possibly a tactic that Mr. Quinn and the government of the day devised, to try and undermine the Liberal ass kicking they were getting.

No wonder Mr. Alward sobbed through his speech as the big loser - none of the dirty games worked.

    1. really - that is how you saw it - that is not how some of us saw what went down from other provinces. What we saw was errors made in the process that calls into question the validity of the results - and blown possibly out of proportion by how the media reported it at the time. To claim Tory conspiracy - especially considering the CEO is a liberal - has no basis of fact.

  5. hey 12:26 did your head out of your ass and read my comments correctly - I said the process should have no government involvement at all - of course the system does now. Perhaps then to answer 12:21 the voter be instructed to not destroy the token or the voter gets a quick receipt of the vote that can serve as a ballot should a recount be needed.
